Limestone County is Home to Robotics Technology Park, the Country’s First State-of-the-Art Robotics Training Center.

Limestone County is home to the Robotics Technology Park, the country’s first state-of-the-art robotics training center that offers free robotics training to employees of companies located in Alabama.

The campus features three training facilities, each with a unique focus:

  • Robotic Maintenance Training Center
    A 60,000 square foot facility providing no-cost training to Alabama industries and their affiliates.
  • Advanced Technology Research & Development Center
    Four – 6,000 square foot client suites are available at no cost for research & development projects (the cost of utilities are billed on consumption basis).
  • Integration, Entrepreneurial & Paint/Dispense Training Center
    This 51,000 square foot facility allows companies to build, test, and adapt automation for new and existing manufacturing processes.

Other Local Workforce Training Resources

Calhoun Community College located in Limestone County is the state’s largest community college. Calhoun ranks #1 in the US in awarding degrees in Advanced Manufacturing, according to Economic Modeling Specialist International (EMSI). This ranking includes all community colleges, technical colleges, and universities across the country. Calhoun opened a dedicated Automotive Technology Center in 2019.
